Week 7 Lucid Dreamers & Carolina Reapers

My bad guys I am so sorry that I have been a slacker on emails!! We have been so busy over here with work and time has been flying!! But I will make sure I start doing a better job with these emails!!

Anyway we need to start diving into this week!! we have had so many crazy miracles happen this week it has been nuts!! We are starting to teach more and more people by the day.

Monday: is my pday but with a little twist! we plan out our week for about three hours then we get the rest of the day to do what we want so that is good! we went and spent some time with spanish and made some killer chicken!! (miss grilling so much) Anyway then after that we went over to one of our new converts and gave her a blessing which was nice and then we just went back and hung out with Simpsonville 3rd elders so that was awesome!

Tuesday: we started off the day with a banger DR. PEPPER BREAKFAST!! :). So that was nice. Then we had to hurry out the door to DCM and that was fun. We just talked about ways that we can better ourselves through Christ and through teaching so that was nice! Then I got to spend some time with Elder Kingsford and Elder Ferrian in their area and help them out which was fun and then we had a really busy teaching schedule and double exchanges so that was fun. We had an experience with our exchange. We knocked on the door of this lady and found out that she just moved down from Tennessee and she was looking for a church to join so we gave her a pamphlet and a BOOM so that was good!

Wednesday: We had an amazing day! we had more promptings from the spirit and we were able to follow through on all of them. One of them was we were on our way to find one of our friends and we ran into her right and she was getting off work and we made a follow up appointment to start teaching her more about the Book of mormon which was nice! Then at the end of the day we were able to find a whole family that wanted to learn as well. we were looking for our friend sandra and we ending up finding her daughter kasandra and she wanted to learn more about the gospel and we were able to teach her about the restoration and answered some of her own questions which was goated and then we were able to find her neighbor and teach her which was awesome.

Thursday: we were able to have a good day! We found that we had some people we could go teach and that was awesome! We then went to a couple of lessons and had an amazing dinner with one of our PMFS so that was nice. At one of the lessons we taught it was this lady named Lisa and she was in her car and we taught her the restoration but in the beginning it was about 25 mph winds and rain then we said a prayer and right when we are getting ready to testify the sun comes out like a BOOM and the spirit hit me like a truck it was nuts! Just a small reminder of how much we are watched over by the lord!!

Friday: we were able to see tiny little miracles along the way all day! But the highlight of the day was we were able to better find ourselves through teaching Emanuel and Michelle. It was so wonderful to see how bad they wanted to get closer to God. They were willing to put aside everything just to hear us!

Saturday: TODAY IS THE DAY!!! MY FIRST BAPTISM :))) :0!! We are baptizing this older lady named Gerry. She is literally the nicest person you could ever meet! They fed us when they didn't have to, they talked to us and taught me how to make a cheesecake lol but most importantly how to have a smile on my face! They are truly blessed and they are the best people on the planet!!

Sunday: we were able to go to church and get gerry the holy ghost which was a cool experience and her husband thanked each one of us for coming on a mission and they said they are gonna buy us rods and fishing licenses so that's pretty lit!!

And now that y'all are caught up here is what you missed last week!! THE TEMPLE BABY!!!! It was so awesome we had the chance to go through and it was so amazing the spirit hits different in the temple! We also had a killer zone conference where we found ways to better ourselves through more effective teaching which was awesome!

Spiritual Thought: D&C 3:19

19 And for this very purpose are these plates preserved, which contain these records—that the promises of the Lord might be fulfilled, which he made to his people;

20 And that the Lamanites might come to the knowledge of their fathers, and that they might know the promises of the Lord, and that they may believe the gospel and rely upon the merits of Jesus Christ, and be glorified through faith in his name, and that through their repentance they might be saved. Amen.

These last three weeks have been so good but yet so hard! I've had to make a lot of sacrifices since I stepped off the plane a while ago! But the lord told me that I needed to be here so I listened! These last couple of weeks out here have already changed my life in ways I could have ever imagined! There are days where I think about what I could have been doing or who I could have been with but the best choice I ever made was to be a missionary out here and I have had to remind myself that over and over again! President Boyd K. Packer once said "In a world ever more dangerous... The Book of Mormon another testament of Jesus Christ, has the nourishing power to heal starving spirits of the world". The gospel can resolve almost any question or need. It has answers to the deepest questions of the soul! Which is why we teach with it and the Bible because these two books together are the everlasting fullness of the gospel of Jesus christ. So my challenge to you all!! Is the same words of president Gordon B. HInckley "those who have read the Book of Mormon prayerfully be the rich or poor learned or unlearned have grown under its power without reservation I promise you that if you prayerfully read the book of mormon regardless of how many times you previously have read it there will come into your hearts.. the spirit of the lord. There will come a stronger testimony of the living reality of the Son of God''. This book is the only one in my life that I have read and I still learn something new everyday! So read it! Ponder it! And study it in your mind so that I can change your life! Elder Holland once said " Brothers and Sisters the Lord always provides safety for the soul and with the Book of mormon he has once again done that here in our day! We teach the word so that people can better understand the lord and draw closer but the only way for us to do that is to convert ourselves because the only way we can convert others is through converting ourselves! This Book has changed my life! And it can change yours so read it and feel the savior's love! And I leave these things with you as a part of my ever growing testimony and set apart as a witness of Jesus Christ. I know God lives and he loves us with every ounce of energy that he has! He wants us home so learn of home so we can go back! I have felt the spirit just writing this email so please find a way you can too!! In the name of Jesus Christ Amen!!

I love you all and I hope you guys know that and lastly I'd like to give a shout out to the greatest brother I could ask for JORDAN DERRICK for convincing me to keep going when I didn't want to this email is for you my dude I love you to heck and back man and I hope you know that!

Till next time this is your friendly neighborhood UTE fan saying GO UTES AND GAVE A GREAT WEEK!!! :)
