Week 46 Called To Serve & Lessons Learned
Yo what's good y'all? it's your favorite ELDER back at again with another BANGER! We had a lot of fire things go down this week! So let's get er done!
This week we've been so busy my comp made the comment it feels like I'm 48 hours behind I'm so tired! So that's kinda been the story of the week but it'd aight!
This week we also had our last Zone Conference with President and Sister Monson!!! It was so fire! We had to go down to Savannah because they needed to combine the conference with Savannah Zone so I got to see some new people and see some old friends! During Zone Conference we talked about the Atonement and what it can do for us on an infinite level! Definitely strengthen my testimony!
Then we also had the opportunity of going to the temple with my favorite members in Ridgeland The Hazelbakers! Sister Hazelbaker was baptized in February and got all of the work done that she needed to do to make it to the temple! Then we found her some family names that she could print off and take to the temple with her and she told us that she has been praying for these people all day and when we got to the baptismal font she started crying! Then the spirit hit me like a freight train and I felt the same way! Then after that Brother Hazelbaker baptized her for 4 family names of hers then I got to baptize him for 4 male names from her family! The spirit was so strong it was definitely the best day of the week for me!!!
In a talk from President Nelson he said
"You are living in the “eleventh hour.” The Lord has declared that this is the last time that He will call laborers into His vineyard to gather the elect from the four quarters of the earth. And you were sent to participate in this gathering. Again and again I have seen firsthand the powerful influence of True Millennials as they bring others to a knowledge of the truth. This is part of your identity and your purpose as the seed of Abraham!"
This work that we do is for real! So make an honest effort to try and be who your father in heaven has made you to be! It took me a long time to figure it out and I'm still trying but a good friend told me this week! Missions are hard in and of itself there are going to be days where you don't wanna do it or you feel like you need to give up! But then you cant because you are to good at what you do! So don't quit! And that's my testimony: don't quit despite any opposition that might stand in our way! We are in the last days and we can see that we are in the 11th hour! But our prophet promised us that "in the coming days we will see the greatest manifestations of the lord's power". So remember no matter how wicked the world gets there has to be just as much light to balance it out! I love yall...
